The immediate fanfic ick I get when I read them dissing Almalexia in the story or making her out to be an awful villain (pre-Red Mountain occurrences)
The curse of being the woman interfering with a mlm ship <//3
i will forever view her as a powerful woman doing what she believed was best for her kingdom, and like Dagoth, she so often got excused for his insanity bc the heart, but she's so often just written as always evil <//3
Even if Ayem and Neht weren't lovers or the "political marriage" trope, they still knew each other dearly, and just like dagoth i feal her internal grief (plus added guilt) had a big hand (along with the heart) in driving her truly mad.
And her in-game comment, "My Nerevar, returned to me at last!" Please, they had something real.
I'm a heavy believer that all the ones driven mad by the heart have their real soul fighting the entire time, taking with her the comment of seeing him, and with Dagoth all his dreams, he sends the nerevine. And YES Neregoth till I DIE, but if you're unable to write Voryn and Nerevar being in love without tearing down Almalexia, you just can't write <//3
Gonna be real with you, most of my art advice comes down to:
Find something and become a little freak about it for an extended period of time, preferably with a small group of 2-4 other freaks.
Skill simply comes as a natural result of constructive competition to out-freak your friends.
i love the era of dropout we’re in rn where they seem to just be giving the cast members money and saying “do whatever the fuck you want”
Jimmy hadn't heard of the rage virus as an actual virus for 28 years. Of course as a child he thought the infected were demons. Of course his religious upbringing and the horrible things he saw would combine in a child's mind to convince him that Satan's wrath had come down on the world.
But then, nobody found this kid. Nobody took him in and made him brush his teeth. Nobody explained to him it wasn't demons, and his father had gotten sick like everybody else had.
He must have started his cult very early on, a roving pack of children and revolving door of Jimmies for decades. Any adults who may have tried to intervene would have been tortured and killed, and he would never have a chance to learn anything different.
If the rage virus had never happened would Jimmy Crystal have been a nice, normal kid? Would he have been a priest like his father, an indulged only son in a religious family, charismatic and manipulative? How far would his delusions of grandeur have been allowed to grow?
I’m weirdly attached to this profile picture I have of Paul McCartney so if you have wondered what it is it’s Paul McCartney from his album cover of “Tug of war”
