Annnd this is the post where I lose followers probably. My brain was not okay when I read the lore on him vs Mehrunes Dagon. Especially coming from a Sotha Simp.

out and about today so i scribbled a tiny vivec on my phone :]
I worked so hard on this edit,
Crown of Seht
ive just been doodling a lot since im procrastinating on my assignments and also this metal brush is so crunchy mgmgmgmggmg
ill make an actually serious piece about sil in my next drawing if i dont get distracted by nerevoryn
The Regressed Dream Ostinato Unrelated dream sequence. I like to think of Dagoth Ur molding his form seamlessly in dreams, he thrives and can achieve boundlessness in that space. This is also referencing voryns 7 siblings and my personal headcanon that he has taken pieces of his own body/ cloned himself to provide them a body to possess. In the middle is my nerevarine 1111, compulsively praying, still trying to resist the 3rd eye or temptation of power in front of him. close ups:
been seeing this trend around and had to abandon a perfectly good drawing to get this out of my head aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
The Poison Gardens yes that is voryn
this painting is sort of about the personal issues i headcanon voryn having and the whole thing symbolizes a cage, the question of whether its better to be free but with risk or stay safe but painfully constricted. The hands are supposed to reference the Dagoth family (or more specifically the matriarch, Voryns mother) and the hardship that comes from being born with expectations of getting a position of such importance as a high councilor, not being able to choose what you actually wanted to do with your life. I did also kind of want to contrast this with the kind of luxurious palace environment, despite voryns issues you should still keep in mind that this doesnt compare to the more extreme struggles of a peasant. I also just wanted to try and design a building interior that feels sort of House Dagoth.
the text on the pillar is translatable but i know its a hastle, so ill just say that its about not being able to escape fate, multiple implications when it comes to that

Marginally correct Elder Scrolls quotes
YOU WHAT???
people who use genAi should be exiled from the community and that includes modding projects
ANOTHER PAINTING UPDATE :3 been busy with furniture building and such, and kinda at a point in the painting where I'm stuck figuring out how to do it but he's coming along nicely!
Today's update on Dagoth, really trying to trust the process with him but I am STRUGGLING. I also think I need to look into getting some slow dry medium for my acrylics...
started working on a Dagoth Ur painting, got some acrylics first time in a while doing a traditional piece but I like it so far :3
The Clockwork God tightens his "corset"
unfortunate that none of the ideas i have for Sil feature his face, but i am quite satisfied with this being my first time drawing him properly. I didnt try to make the spine prosthetic make sense or anything as my priorities was to get the material right and to just make it look cool.
Im interested in Sils rejection of the "flesh" by replacing it more and more with tech, both for himself and his followers. I also have the headcanon his arm was amputated from his injuries in the Ald Sotha tragedy (reason behind the scar), later causing him back problems from improperly fit dwemer prosthetics. I can never let this guy have a break so i also imagine he had some debilitating illness (eg. cancer) leading up to the Foul Murder, its the reason why he was so tempted to use the tools besides just being curious as Sil genuinely just wanted to survive, also why hes so desperate to replace his body with machinery.
also sorry for my increased absence as im very busy and exhausted with uni assignments, i will also be missing for a few weeks in June due to mandatory summer practice
oh and have in mind im not as knowledgeable about Sil as i have not played eso (likely never will) only watched a playthrough of the clockwork city dlc, havent read the truth in sequence either, so bear with me if i make very "contradictory" headcanons here

Keeper of the Photostatic Numen
an appreciation piece for the Araynys Dagoth design and concept made by @unknownhomosapien and @roumanelli as can be found here and here thank you very much for creating those designs as they are incredibly elaborate and beautiful, they fill my head with inspiration and i have never seen sixth house designs as nice as these :3
this work depicts Araynys himself in front of a work-in-progress voryn mural, the gate is for identifying the location as the bone cavern Mamaea, i also liked the idea of different designs for the different House Dagoth servants, the one painting the ash statues at the forefront was slightly inspired by the jiangshi, having a talismas (fulu) type thing on the head
i chose a specific pose for Araynys that would remind of measurement, his thumb meets his eye and his eye meets the top fingernail of his right hand, forming a 90 degree angle (totally not referencing this kira yoshikage panel)
thinking on the concept of "mightly lessons of multiplication" i initially wanted to draw the floor entirely covered in standing ash statues, symbolizing the vast numbers of the sixth house, however it didnt make it into the final piece because of composition issues
close ups:
short haired Voryn in an Ancient Egyptian bead dress for self-indulgent purposes
i wanted to make something cute (to me) and i also realized i dont draw people smiling often
also the flower in this hair is the desert rose from tr data <:]
Demonstration of masked possessiveness and yearning These are my headcanons. I wanted to paint something related to their dynamic that emphasizes their relationships main friction, that nerevars ambition and desire for freedom (to walk his own heroic path to power and change) clashes with voryns uncontrollable need (and selfish wish) to receive nerevars constant time and attention aswell as to have nerevar all for himself Bear in mind i believe voryn knows that he cannot have nerevar the way he wants and he understands his own selfishness, just sometimes lacks the self control. Hes also not the only one pained by this and nerevar too feels bad about it, he has even deeper issues and reasons for why he is this way I think this scene itself is kind of focused on voryns feelings of abandonment in particular close-ups:
