Sometimes, hours after my body exited the fight, my mind is still immersed in it.
Hashirama...
I wonder, if he ever feels the same.
I don't know how to draw, so here's his late put-together outfit for the ball.
Reds, whites, and blacks. That's his outfit for the ball, the opposite of the one he had at trial. The tassels on his mask are a lot shorter in length, but they still cover his face. Did the ol' switcheroo here, but he's nothing if not presentable. Striker makes his way to the ball without a grand entrance, knowing just how late he was. Instead, he flows through the crowd and immediately makes his way to the food and drink. He needed a whiskey stat.

Ammonia had been by Nevermore’s lake.
Summer had yet to end, just two days into the new school year. The academy was Ammonia’s new home, someplace she hoped she would find comfort in, and perhaps connection if she were to be truly lucky.
Old coping mechanisms are nearly impossible to kick, and Ammonia’s has always been curling up and reading. A collection of Fairytales by the Brothers Grimm, just to feed her nostalgic itch. There were many sounds around her that her feline ears twitched to catch, but the fluttering of wings close by was a surprising one.
She at first reasoned that it may as well be a bird in the branches of the tree she’s sitting beneath, but when wide eyes looked up to examine the wood and leaves, they found nothing - and these wings sounded large, anyway…
Ammonia peeked around, ever curious, and those feline eyes paused and dilated when they found a figure upon one of the academy’s towers, perched, watching. A young woman, with impressive and gorgeous black wings protruding from her back. She wasn’t wearing the uniform that Ammonia, herself, had just been given - perhaps she wasn’t a student. A teacher? But she looks so young… And what was she? What type of Outcast?
Ammonia was unsure if this girl could see her, if she was just visiting, if they would ever speak, but she felt… drawn in. Inspired. She marked her page, closed her book, and traded it into her bag for her sketchbook, eager to capture this unique and strange figure on paper.
Written Log: What I Can Do.
The town is burning to the ground. The militia is in shambles.
M is a vampire.
Avid is dead. The vampires killed him. I felt it happen. A relief. A vindictive one.
Dad is…
He’s changed.
He’s the soldier again.
I can’t… I can’t help him from that. Not when… not when I agree that this is the only course of action.
They are after us. They are killing us one by one. They are killing their own. They cannot be… they cannot be reasoned with anymore.
There are a few… maybe.
Apo.
Cleo.
Drift.
Those… who did not help, but did not harm either. On their own side. Like me. They are not welcome, but are not the enemy either. Not yet, not unless they show who they truely side with.
I stand with my family. I will be a brace and a blade. Abolish can handle himself, Dad can handle himself—but my other siblings? Potato is so young… so foolish. The bird that’s been hanging around, Toad, I think, is even more so. Lucy, she’s fragile too, with her magic taking its toll whenever she uses it. William… the boy has been through war already and paid the price. They shouldn’t have to deal with this.
I’ll be there. I’ll stay grounded.
I’ll stake anyone who threatens us. As many times as it takes.
I hope I can do it.
I hope I can handle it.
If I can’t… I won’t be the only one I’m failing. My new family will crumble just like my old one.
I’ll patch up Dad’s leg. I’ll get him a halberd. If he wants to fight, who am I to stop him. I’ll hold him up until he falls then pick him back up again. That anon was right. He will break. He has broken. I just hope I can smooth over the cracks enough to keep him together.
It’s all I can do. It’s all I can do.
Keep together. Keep us all together.
It’s all I can do. It’s all I can do.
A lonely goat stands in the middle of the jungle.
Nobody is there. There is nothing beyond the horizon waiting for him. He knows this— it’s not as if the transformation into a common goat took away that logistical mind of his.
But he couldn’t help being drawn to the idea.
Maybe if he looked hard enough, he’d find them. Maybe if he walked far enough, he’d come out the other side again, five seasons back, in the company of the new Hermit order.
They would keep their allegiance to one another as tightly bound as vines upon a log, and they would never abandon the veins of the covenant, and they would never abandon him. Never move on without him. Never leave him behind, never be consumed by the jungle, never leave him alone after cementing themselves as the only people worth trusting, never, never, never—
It’s never going to happen. They’re never going to see it. He’ll never find them here. He’ll never find these versions of them here, or anywhere, and maybe it was never meant to last.
So why is it so hard to move on?
The new Hermit order doesn’t matter anymore. But it does. It matters so much. Maybe only to him, but it matters. The G in GOAT stands for Grind, and that’s the core of what it meant to be a member of the nHo. No, a part of the nHo. The new Hermit order lent part of itself to him, and in turn, he lent a part of himself to the nHo.
And they left. Like it was nothing.
Five seasons later, and he’s back exactly where he was. A lonely goat, searching for safety in the jungle, and finding nothing.

Despite the campfire burning out long ago Minthara was still awake and alert. Night brought dangers. Dangers the others seemed to disregard. Withers could watch over the area, but how well could a skeleton defend them? Though she had not yet grown to care for or love her new traveling companions the warden kept awake and watchful. It didn't help that her kind were near nocturnal, more accustomed to the dark than light. She'd been on the surface long enough both her eyes and sleep routine had adjusted, but being alive at night still felt more comfortable.
Lae'zel proved she wasn't alone in her caution, the Githyanki doing her own rounds from time to time. But she still felt odd. Everyone was so peaceful in their cots and tents. Some nursed bottles or wounds from the day, but no one was on edge. No one had a single shred of that self preservation that living in the Underdark had left ingrained in her very genetics.
Minthara couldn't not stalk around out night, her mind wouldn't let her. She couldn't not look at her party peacefully in their beds. She couldn't stop herself peaking in on those who wanted more privacy. Drow eyes were trained for the dark after all, its not like she would disturb them. Even if they found her creeping around what would they say? Chastise her for being cautious? For protecting them in the night from threats unseen? All she would have to do is return to her tent and wait for them to go back to their bed rolls before she could return to her patrolling. What laid under the surface like a slow moving poison was the fear of loss. Of losing yet another thing she had attached herself to. Despite her wanting it, she wasn't resistant nor immune to this poison. It tainted ever aspect of her life as the days progressed. She found herself feeling for these people. Wanting to see them take their next breath. Wanting to protect them and keep them alive. It was horrible, but it was her nature and she couldn't deny or fight it.
They were all trying to survive, just like her. Fighting. They'd given her a chance to fight after she'd already lost, a chance to begin again along side them, be something greater. She couldn't repay them traditionally, so she would do so this way. Stalking through the night from tent to tent. Ensuring their careless nature could remain for just a bit longer.
