Additional info: Headcanons are on a queue however I may also post them randomly if I come up with one suddenly. RP responses after the first, if I'm not feeling well and don't want to be overwhelmed, will be queued 1-3 days after i answer them.
If I do not answer your ask, response to my starter, etc. there are no hard feelings on my end. I may not have been inspired, may have been in a writing funk, or otherwise chose not to answer with no malice in my heart. If I am not to your taste please just block me, there are no hard feelings and you should curate the experience you wish to have.

Her head snapped to the druid, a voice that can only be described as an overly stressed mother concerned by her child's latest shenanigans emerging from her, "What do you mean you set it on fire?! Can you not make water?!"
"Well, yes..." Jaheira starts, her tone unnervingly calm, like a sage delivering a profound lesson. Except that the sage was a somewhat short-tempered druid, and the lesson in question was arson. "But you see, there's only so much fire a few liters of water can actually put out." She shrugs, palms up, as if to say, what can I do? — not particularly proud, but certainly not apologetic. "On the bright side, it seems the press won’t be printing lies about us anytime soon. It's about the small victories, wouldn't you say?"
Mouth partially open and several blinks later Minthara finally was able to mentally process this situation enough to respond. "You do know there are laws right? Or do those laws not apply to elderly senile women?"
Minthara was less worried about law breaking and more about drawing unneeded attention to themselves but she had a good feeling that sentiment would be lost on Jaheira so she decided to keep that to herself. One of their number getting arrested was not ideal, especially if it was their 'favorite' grandma. She'd probably start a prison riot and then they'd have so much more to deal with on top of saving the world.
Jaheira rolled her eyes so hard she was certain the gods themselves felt the whiplash. And what exactly are laws, if not polite suggestions everyone ignores when it suits? Of all the people to give her a lecture on law-abiding behaviour, Minthara Baenre was at the absolute bottom of that very short list.
“Oh, please,” Jaheira huffed, waving her hand dismissively as if she were shooing away an annoying mosquito — or Minthara’s argument entirely. “We’re literally fighting an otherworldly god-blob with its three — or better yet, two remaining — enslavers.” She flung her arms wide for dramatic effect. “Do you honestly think law and order should even rank in our priorities? When the very balance of the world is teetering on the edge like a drunk halfling on a bar stool?”
"Regardless of law or order I still think we shouldn't be carelessly setting the city controlled by those enslavers on fire." Minthara really thought, out of them all, that Jaheira would be the most familiar and well versed with stopping evil. She thought it'd be obvious to not draw unwanted attention until they gathered their bearings but apparently it wasn't. In another situation, or if she'd been involved, Minthara may have even supported setting the press to flame. They were lying, and were being controlled, and were not helping their image, BUT the group of unlikely heroes needed to act as a team! And acting as a team meant they ALL should have been involved in ruining the press be it by flame or subterfuge.
"At least tell me you weren't seen or if you were you were a pyromaniac mouse or something not obviously you." She pleaded exasperated.

Despite thinking shes a tad odd Minthara does deeply respects Jaheira not as an elder, shes older than her I think, but just as a person. She made a space for herself in the world, has a family and a people who love her despite her being how she is. The druid is a force to be reckoned with yet has more patience than Minthara thought she'd have.
In a world where she stays topside Minthara may hope she eventually turns out kind of like Jaheira, though still a bit prickly.
Sorry for my absence the weather keeps making me horribly ill and if I focus to hard I get a migraine (yaaaaay sinus pressure). So I'm trying to take it easy and am going to try and post more hcs and stuff since I forget to do that :>
People complaining at her wasn't new. While the complaints may range they were all the same. Endless noise that she didn't care for and stuff she didn't want to deal with. Their woes weren't her concern but that didn't stop people from complaining at her like some therapist.
"Okay and?" Minthara responded apathetically. "Go harass some imps or whatever devils do to pass the time."

You are so utterly pleasant and honestly have such a vibrant warm energy with just enough chaos that I can only call "peak Jaheira energy". You breath such life into our favorite Harper and have also given me some more knowledge about the older games! You're writing is also fucking immaculate and always such a treat to read no matter who you're throwing at me (Mizora always makes me fucking snort ngl). Also I am utterly impressed by your efforts to make Jaheira in the DATV character creator because like?? its so close and the amount of PATIENCE.
