One would never imagine a person who took so little interest in the people around him as Shintarou to be much into celebrities. But despite his status as a social dropout and a virgin he was still a young boy at his best age, and he took as great an interest in the female body as others his age would. Even he had his favourites, and even he had to buy fashion magazines every once in a while to ogle his models. He hadn’t the nerve to buy anything a step above in person.
One thing was looking at models on the pages, another entirely was standing face to face with someone you recognised as being worlds above yourself.

His mind had long stopped working: that clever mind that could deduce any problem save for one, had completely malfunctioned. It seemed impossible as someone of such a status would go grocery shopping in such a lowly store.
