Final assorted 27 dresses thoughts:
—I used to hate the scene where Tess and Jane make up after the slideshow because Tess doesn’t APOLOGIZE and I thought it was too hard on Jane but I kind of like it now. I like that Tess says she was jealous of Jane and also that she doesn’t need Jane to take care of her anymore, both things Jane needed to hear. (She’s still annoying about it but whatever.) Also her losing the wedding and George so definitively is punishment enough, you know? Fair is fair. Also the throwing things at each other and just being like “this is so TYPICAL” —sister behavior realness.
—ALSO DO LOVE THE SCENE after the rehearsal dinner when Jane runs into Kevin and is, obviously, at such an all-time low and they talk because a) she keeps trying to leave, genuinely, but is kept in the conversation because he is, like, the only one who does actually SEE her and part of her doesn’t want to leave even when they’re fighting and b) I also love that he GRABS HER HANDS AND MAKES HER STAY FOR A SECOND. Like it’s just. Ahhhhhh.
—also, again, I really hated it when I was younger that it was her who had the declaration of love on the wedding stage, I thought it should have been him lol, but of course it’s her because he has pretty much been telling her he liked her/loved her the whole movie and especially in their last scene. It’s all in her hands and I love that. Also she says that fighting with him has been the best thing that’s ever happened to her and it’s so true that that is their dynamic for so much of the movie but unlike many romcoms there is purpose and sweetness to it and they are both on a journey.
—I LOVE THE ENDING SO MUCH. PERFECT ENDING. A wedding scene played so earnestly and so straight down the center and it just works. She’s so happy! The shot to the 27 bridesmaids is corny but also sweet. I just. Many romcoms do not get it this right.

"Ya just can't help yourself, can ya, faceless?"
He can't even argue with that one, though.
Character shaming label: Slowly turning into his mother. (Timon)

"I have no idea what you're talkin' about!"
He said while instinctively fixing his son's hair.

Simba, playing a video game: This game is so frustrating! I hate it, I hate it, I hate it! Timon: Ok, I think it’s time to turn off the game for a little while. Simba: But I’m having fun!
Timon, handing out popsicles: Which flavor do you want? Simba: Blue flavor! Timon: Uh, you mean Blue Raspberry? Simba: Blue flavor! Blue flavor! Timon: Blue is not a flavor! Simba: BLUE FLAVOR!
Timon: What are you up to today? Simba: Nothing. Timon: But you did that yesterday! Simba: I wasn’t finished.
