Hello & welcome to … Livia’s please god shut up I’m begging you Hour! This is where I highlight blogs that I adore!
As always, let's begin with our lovely OCs --
@constellationcursed's Cassiopeia is, in one word, stupendous. (quickly googles that word to make sure it means what I think) from the offset, Cass is a character for the ages. I am wholly immersed in her background, and not just because of the game she's tied to -- she carries the weight of every mission, the scars, and it paints her everyday life. Cherry adds elements of this in every thread, and I adore how she puts character beats in everything. You'll learn so much about Cassiopeia through her writing, and I love how carefully inched in everything is; it's all done with care, meant to introduce you to her and how she works. I, personally, really appreciate the chronic pain element and how Cherry lends that to her character as well, making it a foreground element that is, sadly, not often touched upon in other forms of media -- but here, it's so beautifully laid out, portrayed realistically, hurtfully, but also ultimately hopefully.
@trblshot / @stgzr is many things, and brilliant is just one of 'em. He's formed two whole worlds of complexity that thrive in his hold that are love letters to genres he's, as you can tell via his impassioned headcanons / threads, entirely dedicated to. Donk has instilled years of adoration into each of these characters, and anyone can see that within a single glimpse: Rex's life and how he personally pursues heroism is a refreshing take, and I'm always left leaning into my monitor, wondering what other detail Donk is going to add onto his, already, story-rich character. Nero, as well, is made toe-to-head with love: he's the guy you always tell characters in movies to be, and it's freaking awesome. He does his job wonderfully, but also knows when to high-tail it elsewhere; he's remarkably intelligent, and knows when to input this and when to let someone handle things themselves (which, often, lends to hijinks). You won't go wrong with either OC, though I highly recommend them both! OR ELSE
@neuroslayyer's Minako has been KILLINGGG it. Firstly, her whole vibe is fantastic. Yunie has what she wants her to look like down to the PIXEL, and via this, you're able to imagine her so clearly. I love the amount of existentialism she adds to the world of Cyberpunk and how realistically it's portrayed, although you Will leave most threads feeling like you got punched in the chest. Yunie, also, has verses galore for Minnie & each are magnificent in their portrayal and layout; I personally have a soft spot for her modern verse and how Yunie portrays the life in which Minako is given, and offers the complexities that such a life isn't always given: knowing hurt intimately and it not being taken seriously, finding comfort in a source that, truthfully, only offered it for a short while -- and then, boom. Everything's the same but different, and that hurt is still there but somehow worse. It's beautifully written and addictive to read!
And for our canons,
I've really loved @fatumimpera's characterizations! Chroma imbues a special kind of energy into every which muse she takes on. It's such a thrill to see who captured her gaze this time and how she plans on making that character her own -- and trust me when I say she very much makes them hers! Each muse is portrayed with heartwarming sincerity and brazen confidence, it's like getting a peak into another reality of theirs, and you're the lucky soul being allowed entry into it! Each muse is given urgency befitting of their resource material but they're also given dire moments of comfort that they've more than earned... and speaking of earned, that's what those moments feel like in Chroma's care: these lovely characters are finally given the peace they deserved, and they're in fantastic hands. I couldn't recommend her blog enough, not just for those who adore FF and its numerous titles! You may even find a character you didn't know of much before, and fall in love with them because of her marvelous portrayal.
@lnsknndy's Leon is mwah. Nana has taken into careful consideration each detail of his life and made sure each punch matters. From the OG event to 9, Nana has depicted wonderfully Leon's mental state and, in some ways, decline -- I was awed by how much attention to detail she gave his life, including times of which I wasn't privy to which, also, is so cool to learn about him purely via their writing. You can, and will, learn so much about him in ways both enlightening and startling; his lack of self-preservation, but how it conflicts with his want to be better and knows that he can be, how his life isn't picket fences and golden retrievers and most of the time he's very much suffering, but he still picks out kindness from the rubble that is his life. He still chooses to save, and Nana perfectly encapsulates that in their writing. A special mention is their Leon's bond with @redemptioninterlude's Ada because oh my GOSH I EAT IT UP EVERY TIME. I LOOOVE these two and their writing, so pls check them both out.
