eyes dark enough that definition of his pupils was as hard to define as he was settle on the uchiha — a strange sense of relief penetrated the exhaustion still lingering from his mission. it may have been a day or so since he got back, but he still felt as worn as he had when he stepped over the threshold of the hidden leaf’s gates. the notion of home didn’t fully strike him til now ; til hearing such a remark from someone important to him. it was interesting how words so simple could provide a strange warmth and welcome, sai’s mind offered as the corner of his mouth quirked.
