「 Why do they call it oven when you of in the cold food of out hot eat the food? 」
[ pegging ] my muse pegs your muse - Loki & Idunn, orchard tentacle time. 𝑲𝑰𝑵𝑲𝒀 𝑺𝑪𝑬𝑵𝑨𝑹𝑰𝑶𝑺. @sorsrenuo
This was the first time in a few weeks that they'd been able to be intimate, with the start of a coming war there was just very little time for him to sit down and do anything that wasn't preparation for that or these negotiations he's been in charge of dealing with. He wanted to spend more time with Idunn, especially because she was the one who made him realize he was ready to settle himself down and take a small step back from being an antagonist (but he was always going to be an antagonizer).
Either way, his mind snaps itself back to the present moment in time; they were fooling around with this being his first time back in a while, he managed to use his pure charisma (it was mostly knowing most of Idunn's weak spots) and woo her on the spot (it was really just him apologizing for being busy and pathetically groveling).
All that is to say, where he is now is with his head between her legs on the orchard's grass. They've been like this for a few minutes, if the trail of wetness mixed with his own saliva trickling down his chin wasn't enough proof to that fact. It only made sense, making her wait for as long as he did meant he should please her first; and when he thought he was done, he starts to stand up to remove his baggy pants after wiping his mouth.
Idunn stops him, and despite her flushed face, she wore an unusual expression; it was a smirk that only someone like him would pull off, and he knew if he was the one smirking it was usually when he was causing mischief. "I've had this idea for a while," that's what Idunn said, spoken through breathy huffs.
Curiosity gets the better of him, so he raises an eyebrow in response. Normally it was him being the one to make all of these advances on her and she'd accept and let him do whatever he wanted as long as it felt good to her, so obviously he'd say yes to something she wanted.
And then the tendrils that looked like they were made from either the branches of the orchard's trees, or the solidified soil of the ground beneath them...he couldn't really tell.
"...Huh."
@detoxed-retox: What's Loki's relationship like with his kids? owo
Complicated doesn't even begin to describe it. I'll mainly bring up the big four.
For the most part, Loki has actually been able to repair his relationship with his kids. Specifically, Hel. When they were younger, Fenrir and Jormungandr never really blamed Loki for the events that happened to them, because he was able to show them that he tried everything he could to reason with Odin. With Hel, his youngest child at the time, Odin deliberately forced him to watch Thor maim her and cast her out; all while hiding the fact he was there watching with Hel crying out for him.
Hel blamed Loki for a very, very long time after this. Because not only was he not there to save her, he also didn't go after her; not because he didn't want to, but because Odin was literally not allowing him to even try. Instead, the events with Hel when she was young are what caused Loki to seek out foreign assistance and that's when he secretly met with the Greek Titan Oceanus, and shortly thereafter is when the younger Poseidon and Hel met with Hel disguised as Amphitrite for a period of time.
Sleipnir is probably the most complicated. Sleipnir is Loki's child, but Loki was never part of their life and never wanted to be part of their life given the way their birth happened; Sleipnir is the only child that he's ashamed of having, and that's why he gave Sleipnir to Odin.
Loki spent years blaming himself for failing all of his children, even if Fenrir and Jormungandr were more out of his hands than Hel was. He's never been afraid to say that Hel was always his favorite child, she is quite literally the only child (until Nova with Idunn) to take after him in appearance.
He still remembers the day he held Hel, it didn't matter what she looked like, just holding her as she was affirmed to him that he had an overabundance of unconditional love for her. He allowed her to think that he failed her horribly, and that he never tried to help her, because he believed he failed her; and he didn't know how else to atone for that besides having her hate him. To Loki, Hel is the most platonically beautiful thing he's ever had a part in creating.
Their relationship has since been somewhat repaired, though obviously it's still not easy for Hel, and Loki would never force her to welcome him if she didn't want to. But it's because of Hel that Loki wished to be a better and more present father in the future barring the situation with Sleipnir. Failing her reminded him of the fact that he was abandoned with no love until Odin adopted him, and he absolutely hates that he made her think he never loved her.
❝ did you just wake up with the urge to be a pain in my ass? ❞ Idunn to Loki IDUNN / Among all your golden fruits, none are as precious as you. @sorsrenuo god of war starters.
「If I had an apple for how many times I've heard that, I think I'd run you out of business.」
The Trickster chuckled at his little quip. It didn't help that Idunn had long since became his favorite person to tease, she made it way too easy. But maybe it wasn't that she made it easy, and it's more the fact that he'd learned exactly the kinds of things to push her buttons. Being close to her more often than not gave him leeway for that sort of thing, after all.
He carefully slithers his way beside her, arm coiling around her momentarily. It kind of seemed like something was on her mind, so for the most part, he was just trying to lighten the mood and let her talk to him herself if there really was anything. But if there wasn't, at least he'd still get a kick out of being yelled at by her?
Loki shifts his arm off from around her and raises it up in a stretch, following with a yawn. Everything was so tiresome around here nowadays, he felt like he barely caught a break! And here he was, finally getting that break, and he expected Idunn to be happy that he finally did! Well, that was probably why she was giving him such a hard time.
「 Unfortunately, I did in-fact wake up specifically with the loud urge to be a pain in your tuchus! But you wouldn't have me any other way, right? If you say yes, I might shed a very sad tear. 」
He steps out into the Orchard, proudly planting his hands on his hips as he gazed around. This was pretty much his new home these last however many years, but there were always these small little details that he found that he knew was different each time. Like today, the grass was trimmed in such a way that it was short but still incredibly soft on bare feet. Idunn was basically the perfect gardener, so it's not like it surprised him.
「 Maybe I should have started with a "Honey, I'm home!"? 」
@sorsrenuo ❝ i’ve always loved you, you know. ❞ - Loki from Hel :3ccc
“...” It took a lot for something to silence even the God of Mischief, whose entire thing was talking. But here he was, completely at a loss for words when his daughter approaches him herself - completely unprompted - and greets him with that. His jaw practically dropped. He had long since told her that he never expected her to love him again, let alone forgive him for not being able to help her sooner, and even though he’s been repairing their bond he hadn’t thought he’d hear her even say that.
Continuing to stare in shock, Loki begins to feel the welling in his eyes; so he’s quick to raise a hand and wipe his eyes with his thumb. It was hard to not get emotional, no matter how good he was at hiding how he truly felt, this was a situation where hiding it was impossible. But he didn’t have the right to outright bawl in-front of her, he doubted she’d care if he did, but all those centuries she cried alone.. it was only fair.
With a subtle reluctance, he reaches forward and places his hand on her shoulder - only to pull her into an embrace. For the longest time, every time he saw her, he could only see the little girl he failed - it was easy to forget how big she’d gotten.. Still, he finally begins to speak; although it likely sounded raspier than he wanted it to, since he was holding back tears.
“..I’ve told you before, but it was when you were born that I really felt like a father - Fenrir and Jormungandr were much more like your mother upon birth, but you... you looked just like me. I won’t go dwelling too much on the past, but no matter what, you have always been my brave little spark. You will never understand how meaningful the words you just said to me are - but I have to ask.. what’s going on, dóttir? It isn’t like you to come to me yourself without your husband bound to your hip. Not that I’m complaining, I’m just.. confused.”
@killer-dream do loki for the feelings thingy too
MUSE FEELINGS : LOKI
@baymax-more-like-baemax - What Pokemon team would any of your muses have if they got isekaid to the promised pokeland?
You get three!
MORDRED.
Mordred is, understandably so, primarily a Dragon type Trainer. His main is a switch between Dragonite & Salamence, but he has an unrivaled bond with all six of his mons. Corviknight is on his team because it would remind him of Camelot, and Zoroark masks its true form akin to Mordred never removing his helmet.
POSEIDON.
Even when “isekai’d”, Poseidon would still be a god of the sea - so naturally, his team is all Water type with the exception of Lugia. Because of who Poseidon is, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he would be able to communicate with Kyogre and come to an understanding; the same is said for Lugia, as both he and Lugia are guardians of the seas and control storms. It’s very likely that Lugia is much more complacent than Kyogre.
LOKI.
Much like Poseidon, Loki’s team would be very straightforward; each of them are tricksters or illusionists. His favorite is a tie between Mismagius and Hoopa (it’s really Zoroark but don’t tell them that).
