DOROTHY GALE’S CAOS OFFICIAL VERSE /
victoria and her sister emily gale were witches; part of a coven in kansas. Sister emily would wind up falling in love with a mortal boy named henry gale & would leave behind her life as a witch to live with him on his farm. victoria meanwhile was devoted to the dark lord and to the world of witches / warlocks and married a high ranking warlock. soon she had a daughter named dorothea. but from the beginning she wasn’t like most other witches; instead of being shroud in the darkness of their lord she seemed to emulate a soft, ethereal, even heavenly essence.
a witch of pure light, of love and heavenly divinity. not a witch of shadows and dark curses, or of blood rituals and sacrifice. she was born with the marks of angel wings upon her back, scars that would eventually fade but never completely. neither of their family lines had ever mingled with the false god’s angels; making dorothy’s angelic traits that much more alarming and mysterious.
was she half witch, half angel? or was she full angel or full witch? With any luck there would be no angel at all within her. Fearful of the consequences of their mysterious baby, they gave her to emily & henry to protect and to hide. four years later dorothy’s parents were killed by witch hunters thus making the gales her permanent guardians.
they decided to raise her away from magic completely, changing her surname to further protect her and raising her to look to the lord in heaven not the one down below. but dorothy often feels like something is calling to her; something dark and something light, pulling at her like she’s a rope in a game of tug-of-war.
dorothy gale is a descendant of a famous witch named galinda upland. Dorothy’s powers began to come into fruition when she was a small child but she’s always been too afraid to admit that strange things always seem to happen or that she can do things that normal people can’t; she’s never been properly trained.
