my name is zevran arainai. adventurer and occasional assassin.
An hour before. That was their agreed upon time. Always had been. Yet, for some reason, Cassie never made an appearance that evening. He’d taken out his phone to text her, ask where she was. That was when he saw a text from one of his teammates: “Oi, mate! You were mentioned in the gossip column!” At first Albus thought nothing of it, he was a professional quidditch player on top of being Harry Potter’s son after all. But his curiosity had gotten the better of him and he looked it up. Soon after he read the anonymous tip about watching his back, he suddenly didn’t feel quite so worried about his girlfriend’s whereabouts -- if she even was his girlfriend anymore. He pushed it from his thoughts, preoccupying himself with getting Grimmauld Place ready for the meeting, not even bothering to torment Kreacher as he normally would. His heart just wasn’t in it. Finally, after getting the whole of the bottom floor cleaned up and the furniture rearranged, he’d gotten to a somewhat stable mindset.
Unfortunately for Al, that would quickly change as he and Daisy finished demonstrating the spells he wanted everyone to focus on, catching the sight of a blindingly blonde head trying to blend in as if she’d been in attendance the whole time. “Right,” he cleared his throat, tearing his eyes away from her. “Partner up and focus on those spells we just showed you.” Albus tucked his wand away and headed towards the kitchen, making a point not to look in Cassie’s direction.
