fresh take of the day: ted wheeler is actually a russian operative. think about it, we know next to nothing about the guy. like i’m pretty sure he wasn’t in high school with hopper and co. let’s say he arrives in hawkins in the sixties, meets and marries karen to settle down and build a family as a cover; she never finds out. there’s a reason he’s disconnected from/neglectful to his wife and children. apparently he comes from ‘a good family’, ie the wheelers, and he’s got money but we don’t even know what he does for a living. mike said his dad told him that the lab were ‘building weapons to fight the commies’, even though the d.o.e are hella secretive so how the hell would he know this? he’s way too patriotic, even for a suburban republican. he’s almost too curious about a possible russian spy presence in hawkins. nancy saying her parents ‘bought a nice house at the end of the cul-de-sac and started their nuclear family’ just speaks volume to this theory. joe chrest has a sketchy face. “my god, is she russian?” idk ted are you?! my tinfoil hat is firmly in fucking place.

What always gets to me about RWBY is the music. Never have I been so affected by a show's soundtrack. When they play "Mirror, Mirror Part 2" or "This Life is Mine" for Weiss. When they play "Boop" for Ren and Nora. Blake's theme music. Qrow' theme music. It gets me amped up or teary eyed every time and if nothing else I can say Casey and Jeff have long careers ahead of them.
