i headcanon that karen adores will. but she shows it in her actions more than words.

she makes sure wills clothes are clean when he spends the night, assigns him his own blanket and pillow at their house, sends him home with leftovers and packs extra food for him in mikes lunchbox, buys him christmas presents that she lets mike pick out. not because she pities him, but cause she really loves that kid

the children yearn for the party bearing permanent aftereffects from the war (will with a prosthetic eye, max cane user/low vision, mike with a bionic arm, jane without her powers, lucas and dustin with big badass scars)

My El/Jane Hopper Headcanons (because those evil misogynist brothers refused to let her be a person):

In Lenora, she taught herself how to knit, and so every member of the Byers family has the wonkiest scarf known to man

Later, when she’s a much better knitter she tries to take them back but when everyone refuses she ends up sneaking into their rooms to fix them, Will wakes up to this once and thinks Vecna is back from the dead and knitting in his room

She likes crafting in general, Joyce taught her how to sew, and she scrapbooks everything

She gets into DnD for the figurine painting

She likes learning but never goes back to school (Owens acquires her a diploma)

As a young adult she doesn’t really know what she wants to do with her life and basically does every job a person can do

She had a brief stint as the receptionist at the police station but was fired for showing favouritism (it was towards Callahan not hopper)

Her music taste is very eclectic, she loves music that has really intense emotions and gets really into riot grrrl in the 90s

She loves fashion but especially loves flowy hippy 70s stuff

She loves a funky accessory, especially earrings and headbands

She helps Jonathan with his films when’s he’s home, especially with making costumes

She starts volunteering for costume making with the Hawkins theatre troupe and makes the party volunteer with her when they’re back in Hawkins (Dustin needs no convincing he loves this shit)

when i say i believe in buff byers....know that i mean SLIGHTLY BUFF byers. that man is not a fucking bodybuilder. he has some muscle now, thats all. its very subtle.

and it shows in small ways. like how he can effortlessly pick mike up or how he does all the heavy lifting at home without being asked.

he's not obnoxiously huge or unrealistically muscular. he's still will. he's still the same scrawny little kid inside, so he doesn't even notice when he subtly got some more muscles.

mike notices, though. because of course he does. and he goes feral over it. it's literally one of the biggest reasons mike couldn't even give will a hug when seeing him in California for the first time in months. he was so overwhelmed.

Billy Hargrove has an oral fixation

Meaning: he’s an eater 🫦

Ok, hear me out... instead of paladin!mike being sent to Hawkins and making regular Mike jealous, regular Will being sent to their world, where paladin!Mike swears to protect this innocent creature from all harm.

He bonds with cleric!will and sees how he would be if he were free. He sees how he and Mike would have ended up had the world not been so cruel. He gets “mentored” and encouraged by Cleradin into being himself and letting go, not of Mike, but of society’s prejudice.

And then he learns to see Mike's discreet love for him through paladin!mikes small acts of love and caring towards cleric!will (basically Mike in s2).

Meanwhile, you have regular Mike frantically searching and having full panic attacks because he can't find his Will; he's gone. Mike realizes that he doesn't care for anyone the same way he cares for Will, because Will isn't just a best friend to him.

Imagine them reuniting (whether back in Hawkins or at the fantasy world) and Will finally seeing Mike's love for him through all those small actions and care. Imagine Will finally gaining the courage to do something about it, because he has never been more sure that Mike likes him back.

And imagine Mike, who is panicking again because on one hand, he loves Will, and he knows that now; but on the other, he can't bare to lose him again. He sees Will so happy and carefree, and wonders if he was the problem, but then Will pulls him into a kiss, and all is right in the world.

Steve who snores SO loud, but only Robin is immune to it and can sleep through it. Doesn't even realize he's doing it, apparently.

Eddie who has bags under his eyes begs her to help him sleep through the night with Steve. "Teach me your ways~" he loves Steve SO much but he's exhausted.

Robin has no idea what to tell him, she's all ''Sorry I can't help you! I'm honestly shocked that I didn't even realize he snored at all!''. So, Eddie just sneaks over when Steve and Robin are having a little sleepover just to discover they BOTH snore and it's horrendous. It's like are in a battle to win the trophy for who "most sounds like a fork stuck in a garbage disposal while sleeping" or something.

Eddie invests in some ear plugs.
