Just remembered the leak from a while ago, no idea how credible, that Mike and El kiss at the beginning of season 5
And if it is true it just gives me even more security bc do you know the only couples that have kissed at the beginning of seasons
Fighting by episode 3, broke up in episode 6 (but not before giving her way more screen time with another love interest starting in episode 4)
Broke up two episodes later
Were not together at the end of the season but I won't remind you why 🙃
Broke up one episode later
Fighting so bad he thinks they'll "won't come back from" it and she refuses to even look at him one episode later. (Didn't even have to be a make out, anything that them as seemingly in love)
And it makes sense because I've talked about "value changes" before and how you cannot end where you started. Starting good does not mean good things, y'all.
Also, to give some contrast
Elmike s1: wanting to send her away as of 1x02 (when they meet)
Byler s2: both hiding that they're struggling in 2x01
Jancy s2: a bit distant due to her being with Steve in 2x01
Lumax s2: avoiding him and calling him a stalker as of 2x01
Jopper s3: rejecting his advances as of 3x01
Jancy s3: fighting about work as of 3x01
Byler s4: not speaking as of 4x02 (when they first see each other)
Lumax s4: not speaking as of 4x01
All couples end in a good place emotionally with each other in every season I just listed.
Not that I had to prove it. This is a screenwriting principle. It's not like I'm discovering it before you, these are just nice demonstrative examples.
