austen had decided to propose to ida the very same day as her birthday, and of course, she said yes! they were to marry as soon as possible.
ida had decided it was better to confess her feelings sooner than later. this decision ended up being a good one, as austen felt the same way! they were now officially courting. ♡
ida had been getting close with an austen lankford - the son of helga's employer, mr. otto lankford. they got along splendidly, and ida may have started feeling something more than friendship for him - however, it was still too early to tell, and ida decided to keep her feelings to herself, just for now.
