I love Much Ado About Nothing because everytime I revisit it there's a new aspect that catches my eye and does not let me go. This time it's gender and power, esp. gender roles and constraints. The way Beatrice does not speak up until the very end of the church scene, how she cannot defend her cousin by herself, how Benedick might help but there are no connections between the two of them that might justify such actions. She can do nothing in this case but plead. Of course she asks him to kill Claudio once they admit their love and gets (rightfully?) angry when Benedick declines in the beginning

I genuinely don’t get the hate and the ‘this isn’t taylor swift’ comments when some of her biggest hits are 22, we are never getting back together, shake it off, etc. which could be described the way tloasg is as basic, cringe pop songs. like yeah. that’s kind of her whole thing ??

If Charles was truly performative he would do a lot of things drivers do that a lot of people eat up and are very gullible then about them but that's a discussion no one is ready to start

the concept of performative reading from a f1 driver (aka someone who doesn't need to do this stuff to gain attention) on a post that's not an ad doesn't make much sense to me anyway
