Every single time I see that fucking screen capture of Sahara saying Ouma will always be alone I want to scream and punch him forever. How did he forget Kaede AND GONTA'S wish so easily??? #notmyprotagonist lol
That’s the thing too. Gonta had literally just outlined his own wish for them all, and Shuichi all but discarded it on the assumption that Gonta was manipulated into doing and saying like, everything. And believing all the comments Kokichi was making at face value, despite his MO being, well. ...Lies. *Pretences to the ringleader, that is.
It’s one thing to be suspicious and confused by Kokichi at this point, but that was the low blow to end them all, especially considering he had spurned Kokichi’s efforts to reach out to him before in the Virtual World. He didn’t even question his ‘save everyone’ commentary when he left the Virtual World. If he had, he would have caught on to a lot more, and much sooner.
Now, I’ve even defended Shuichi about the Virtual World mistake a few times. This was a bit where communication wasn’t exactly at its optimum on either side. But even so, the fact that he seemed to completely forget even though Kokichi persisted for him in a way he didn’t before, is bothersome. The fact that Kokichi had to wait until everyone had left save for Shuichi, yet this isn’t given consideration, is bothersome.
