she was elated, puffed up with pride and attention that one could only achieve through a thorough los angeles experience. could she finally say that she ‘made it’? after being passed on from one rich producer to another, dalia found herself face to face with a particularly handsome face that she hasn’t seen before. as per the requests of her manager, she began with a wide smile. “thank you so much for coming! i hope you enjoyed the movie.” extending a bejewelled hand for him to shake. “dalia karolina, it’s a pleasure to meet you... i’m sorry to be quite forward, but i think i’ve seen you somewhere before-- have you been acting in los angeles at all?”

"you don’t have to stay, you know.” her voice was stronger than she felt, half-laying on a chaise with a book hanging haphazardly between her fingers. ariel knew that her brother lived a life much like her own, before... her ordeal. the twins would flit from one continent to another without so much as a thought, sending each other colourful descriptions of their days by text and random pictures. but now, sat in the family home away from the cities, the princess could only manage to hold her brother back for so long -- despite how much she yearned for the company of her siblings, her family, especially after a time where she thought she might not see them again. “don’t you have a... race, or whatever, to do in monaco?”

misty eyed, all too quiet for anyone’s comfort -- dalia could only manage to offer her condolences to the king and queen before falling behind her parents, pointedly avoiding damian’s worried eyes. unfortunately, that left her to walk alongside her eldest brother instead. “i can’t believe darius isn’t here.” she mumbled, sneaking a hand under her thin veil to dab at the tear falling down her cheek. “and that fucking russian is! couldn’t anyone throw him out?”

"oh look at françois! i thought i’d never say this about anyone but he looks much too attractive in court dress and a little too... boring -- shall we say? -- without!” ariel snapped her fan open to cover her giggles, her corset is digging right onto her back and her tall white wig piled high above her head, yet she never felt quite so comfortable. perhaps it was the company. the princess looked upon knowingly at her best friend, blue eyes sparkling with mirth. “i bet you everything i have johannes is going to tell his goat story again... he’s almost completely drunk off champagne and it’s the only interesting story he has!”
