Hi, I am! They are very dear to me. I discovered them in junior high and obsessively read them all, and that sparked my early teens obsession with mythology. And my knowledge promoted me from the junior high academic team to the high school academic team in 9th grade because I was the ringer in the lightning rounds, so like…it was a big deal for me.

I was in undergrad when the uhh…is it the Heroes of Olympus that has the Roman camp in it too? And those were fun too. Like The Shadowhunter Chronicles, getting to revisit those characters in college felt like having a little piece of home with me.

I don’t remember much specifics, since it’s been a while, but I loved the ensemble cast (as a 2000s girl deep in the hermione granger industrial complex, Annabeth Chase was my favorite, but all the kids were interesting characters and fun to discover and read). And for what it is, a kid’s fantasy series about classical mythology and kids saving the world and delivering fantastic one-liners while doing it, I think it’s very good!

What in the actual fuck? That sounds like actual torture mixed with anxiety and a shit ton of depression. I now fully regret that every time my school got hard i started making jokes to my mom that we’re moving to france to escape from my school. Holy crap
