Soft yells in the distance.... That's... honestly like that's kind of sweet tbh...?? Like Izumi is his friend growing up despite anything? And like, him returning or rejecting her feelings I'd feel like they'd still be friends, and close ones at that?? Like... he, her and Shisui would all be that little close-knit sibling family I feel? And I feel like there's a defensiveness over him because HE'S OUR TACHI~ but also like the strive of STARRY EYES, TACHI LIKES SOMEONE??

Like, they'd both SHIT to see him mildly showing interest in ANYONE you know? Kisame or not. Like... knowing him so long and how oblivious or just plain disinterested and such with romance as he is... I mean people in general actually... Him acknowledging INTRIGUE in another person would be like "What can we do to help? What can we do for you?? This is also important to us." and that's... a really endearing though to me on this note like... huff puff...

Izumi very casually mentioning that if Itachi ever wants a kid she’s game for it even if it isn’t /with/ her. Like, she would still be in the child’s life because she would still be in Itachi’s life but Izumi would always be auntie. And Itachi fluttering and laughing because “I don’t have anyone right now.” and Izumi just shrugging because she wants Itachi to know it is /always/ on the table. Because she knows how he looks at kids when they go the park and they’re that age where a friend had a baby or whatnot and Izumi /knows/ it is on Itachi’s mind.
