The biggest drawback of centering your entire personality around a peice of media is that any critism about it gets taken as critism against YOU and instead of backing away and wondering if you should still support or enjoy it people just inevitably shut down all opposing views and put themself in social circles that are echo chambers and then just stagnant as a person from then on out cause they never get exposed to ideas that help them grow
