^this is why i think society in wot isn’t matriarchal like the whole fanbase likes to pretend. yes, currently only women can use the one power, but not only does the two rivers have a bicameral government with both male & female factions, our own world’s traditional gender roles regarding domestic labor, cooking, & farm work are explicitly present. women are seen as the primary cooks (ex. rand saying many wives in town feed him, marin al’vere specifically) and men are in typically masculine roles, such as farming, and blacksmithing.
