getting real sappy here but jason todd as a character will always be important to me largely because he is my bestie @arkhamverse's fave and the plot we developed for our muses, especially my helena and its jason @magicofrobin, it's so integral to me i genuinely don't care if it's not "canon" or even "fanon", but jason will be a younger little brother to helena, red hood will always remind huntress of one of her own students, will make her worry and fear that failing red hood is akin to failing her own kiddos. she doesn't even need to remember that he was the second robin that she had known many years ago, even before timbin, to see him as a good person who's just hurt and trying his best and wanting answers the only way he can, screaming while having no mouth, wanting to be seen. they don't have to agree 100% morally for helena to look at jay and go, "stop. you're self destructing. you're trying to sabotage yourself and shoot yourself in the foot. you're evading help. i know this because i've fallen down this angry, lonely road myself and i will not share my exile with you. you go out there and making the world a better place, even if it's just for you and three other people. stop, you deserve better and to ensure that is my responsibility." the magic of robin never died with him. the magic of robin lives on, and it is what gave helena a second chance to not fail jason again. to not outlive another brother and lose him to circumstances. god gave her one more chance, and she will take the best shot to make sure jason will at the very least outlive her. that's all. <33
