It had been a long time since he last visited a chalet situated at a snow-capped mountain, but this change of pace was proving to be rather agreeable for the Uchiha. Somewhat, at the very least.
For even whilst he was settled in an all too comfortable couch, Itachi had never particularly been the type to fully remove himself from work. Being forcibly whisked away to another country had done little to change this; he still thought of the cases that could have cropped up in his absence, as well as the others that his colleagues were currently handling.
This line of thought was interrupted by excited knocking on the door- followed by his brother’s notably soured mood. That was not the type of reaction that he would have expected from his brother, especially seeing that the visitor was most likely their mother. She and their father had opted for boarding a different, later flight due to Fugaku’s unforgiving schedule.
With a curious glance cast in Sasuke’s direction, Itachi rose to his feet and answered the door. --What he saw nearly knocked the wind out of him.
“Ino-san? What are you doing here?”
