hello! could i ask what 오바 is? i always hear nct say it and i'm like ?????

LOL it’s totally fine! I can attest to the fact that slang is a lot harder to learn than regular words/phrases. 오바 is “over” sounded out in Korean (“oba”) and it’s typically used when someone overreacts or exaggerates too much!

Questions for one of nct top tumblr blogger. What's your favorite song of nct? Who is your bias if you have any? Why do you like nct/your bias? Where are you from and what is something interesting about yourself?

ahhhh i don’t really think so but thanks so much for that! :) anyway, onto your questions:

1. my top five: back 2 u, another world, sun & moon, trigger the fever, the 7th sense

2. TAEIL❤❤❤ (even though my blog doesn’t really seem that way..lol)

3. i got into them during nct u and really liked their distinct sound…. so i checked out vocal work from smrookies and that’s how i started to like them a lot more (“lately” and “말없이 바라만 봐” are still amazing)! also, i really like seeing how the members are all very different but somehow mesh together naturally. it helps that they’re just mega dorks and i’m sm trash so

5.  kpop related: i got introduced to kpop through dbsk back in 2007 with “love in the ice”! i know, i’m so old but let me know if you want song rec’s loool

non-kpop related: i can’t drink coffee at all. so if i go to a cafe, i always get hot chocolate or some kind of tea!

I only recently got into NCT (shame on me) and I'm watching NCT Life right now and I'm wondering about something... what happened with Hansol? He is the oldest and he still hasn't debuted yet :/ Is there any news on him? Sorry if this has been asked before, it's just that you are one of the few nct blogs I follow right now and well... I'm new in this fandom *hides in a corner*

No no no don’t worry about asking questions! :D It’s definitely really confusing at first with all the members/units so I completely understand haha 

Hansol is the second oldest after Taeil and as far as I know, people are still unsure about his trainee status. He’s: not among the current smrookies (Kun, Jungwoo, Lucas), looks like he has full control of his ig (meeting with non-SM idols/people; stuff that other SM trainees don’t/can’t publicize), and isn’t following any NCT acc’s on ig (if anything, only Lay and some SM-affiliated choreographers). 

These things point toward him not being under SM anymore, but we’ll never know until he says something. Let’s hope he’s at least in a place that will give him the opportunities he deserves! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask :)

New NCT fan anon back~ thank u for the info about Hansol~ I'm now onto NCT Life in Seoul and I hope Kun will be able to debut soon, he is so sweet :3 do you have any other recommendations on what to watch to get to know the members better?

- NCT U: On air (1, 2)

- NCT Life (All: Bangkok+bonus clips 1&2; NCT 127: Paju, Osaka-not on Vlive; NCT 127/U: korean food king, Chiang Mai; NCT dream: variety retreat) 

- Victory show (mix of U/127/dream/all depending on the episode)

- Radio shows subbed on youtube (NCT U: sukira, cultwo show; NCT 127: cultwo show x2, kangta’s starry night x2, NCT’s Night Night x2)

- NCT Life Mini (a lot of random clips/member interviews)

- Any other live broadcast done on the NCT or NCT 127 Vlive channels (let me know if you want some specific rec’s)

hello..I have a beginner's question 😂 how do you cut videos and post them on tumblr? you're the only person I wanted to ask because your blog is beautiful

aww that’s super flattering; thanks so much!!! :D and to be honest, i don’t use any special or fancy programs (rip recent college graduate) to edit my videos haha i mostly use:

- VLC player = for recording cuts from videos longer than 10 minutes (ref. the red recording button), but sometimes the audio ends up not being totally in-sync  with the video which is a little annoying lol –> take these cuts and edit on wmm/imovie (if you have a mac)

- Audacity (sometimes) = to fix/add audio to videos 

- Windows movie maker (or imovie) = the video tools tab for making/stitching cuts together and fading out in-video audio; file -> save movie -> for computer (usually in .mp4 because it automatically previews on tumblr before posting)
