It was at moments like this, as she made her way up the small hill to reach the tree she was to meet Nanna under, that Sigyn was reminded why spring was her favorite season. All around the great estate, flowers were in bloom, and the light that beat down on her was comfortingly warm. She was all smiles as she continued on her path, despite the irritating presence of her nanny trailing along behind her, and the potential disapproval of her parents lingering over her head.
The estate was far bigger, far grander, than the one Sigyn resided in, which of course meant that her parents were currently off doing their very best to grovel for Gevar's favor. Sigyn, in turn, had been tasked with securing the favor of Gevar's young daughter. This might've been a massive chore if she wasn't already acquainted with Nanna and knew her to be a lovely person. More than likely, she was going to enjoy herself much more out here in the open with her friend than back with her mother and father, bending and scrapping for even the slightest advancement.
Knowing that she was going to be spending time outside with Nanna, Sigyn had prepared herself accordingly. Her chestnut hair was in loose curls tied with white ribbons against her blue, flowered dress. Under one arm she carried a thick book where she recorded her various findings when she ventured out into nature.
As her destination came into view, Sigyn caught sight of her young friend and her grin widened. Ignoring the reprimand from her nanny, Sigyn broke into an eager run, calling out Nanna's name as she approached her.
