ok this might be VERY much in hc territory but in the horror podcast the magnus archives there's a being called the distortion that can absorb actual people who then become part of it, and the distortion is the physical form of those people while also being a physical place (endless hallways blah blah) and there's lots of talk about how theyre technically all separate but linked up to one collective conscious/mind and I get HUGE median system vibes. also tma is a good horror podcast so
