I just binged all of the Wayne Family Adventures webtoon and have been struck with an intense need to be reading comic books from the library again

Genuinely one of the funniest lines in 92sies is when jack david and boots are crossing the brooklyn bridge and davids like “ive never been to brooklyn” and boots goes “i spent a month there one night” LIKE😭 And davids delayed chuckle after once he processes wtf boots just said lol

Thinking about Dragon Worshipping in Pokemon and in particular the chants/prayers uttered by Hassel and Zinnia

Hassel during his battle as he is down to his last Pokemon says this almost as a payer:

“Come, O great dragon, and take a Tera Jewel as your crown!”

Meanwhile Zinnia’s summoning ritual for Rayquaza is:

“With jewel bright and borrowed might from the spirits of the departed, Through sacred rite, in thy great sight, my life as well I offer.”

We know through doing the art class that Hassel’s bloodline as he calls it is “ancient.” And they have all trained dragons

It reminds me a lot of the Draconid people in Hoenn as they too are described as ancient and worship Dragons

It does beg the question if Hassel is Draconid

But I’m also thinking about how Raihan in the manga after breaking into the powerplant and catchinh a glimpse into the room where Eternatus was being held and spotted the platter described it as an offering bowl to Eternatus as Rose fed it wishing stars

And the inherit religious feel to an offering bowl
