jenny the vampire is actually the perfect choice for spn's final named female character to appear on-screen because she embodies almost all of the show's favorite woman tropes. she starts as a damsel in distress. she's transformed into a monster against her will. she is sexualized by the monster turning her (the show's first gay kiss). and we end the episode without even learning her name. but somehow she returns fifteen years and countless apocalypses later, earns a name and the remembrance of the winchesters, and actually threatens them before being upstaged by a nameless faceless man in a clown mask and unceremoniously murdered. if that isn't the experience of being a woman on supernatural i don't know what is.
