I think a funny side effect of not being allowed to go downstairs/get food after bedtime regardless of hunger is that now I’m Very Good at stealth, sneaking, and theft because hey sometimes a dude gets hungry late at night and his only option is sneaking a lil package of goldfish crackers from the kitchen while her dad is playing Minecraft in the living room
