11. What physical attribute does your muse find most attractive?

A smile! It's the first thing he catches about someone and sparks his interest. Tomaj is endlessly charmed despite himself (and his better judgement) by a nice smile. And Mat has a very slight and natural upturn of his lips that Tomaj swears the man knows how to weaponize against him 😑

And as a bonus I'd say a snatched waist on a man (MAT'S) does drive him wild lol.

15. Does your muse like receiving gifts from a potential partner? If so, what?

He appreciates a thoughtful gesture like that but he does not expect it from a potential partner after all his failed romances nor does he find it necessary (some self-worth issues there for sure lol). He holds himself to a different standard, however, taking after his father and some cultural courting traditions within his village. So when he's actually seeing Mat and they're together? He brings the man flowers after work to surprise him, he crafts a lovespoon as a grand declaration of his affection towards Mat, etc etc.

18. Does your muse find the idea of a secret admirer charming or off-putting?

Offputting. LOL. He does not have the time nor the patience for someone to be playing coy with him. Being upfront and honest with your intention is always the way to go with him. The man is a lil romantic in a lot of ways but a secret admirer is NOT one of those things he finds cute lmao.

What is your OC petty about?

If someone isn't straight with him about why they're upset at him, he's NOT going to entertain the mind game. He'll notice it but just ignore it because that sounds like their problem to deal with. Also he cannot stand hagglers who try to undermine his work as a smith for a cheap bargain. So much so he's threatened someone once or twice in his time using his position as a town council member to make sure merchants in the same trade wouldn't sell to them. LOL. Fuck around and find out etc.

What does your OC lie about?

White lies if it means saving face in front of someone when he's dealing with vulnerability. Only for so long though before the small lie eats at him and it comes out once he's able to parse his feelings as to why he felt like he had to lie in the first place. He generally hates liars and always tries to follow a personal code of honor.

In what way(s) is your OC bad at life?

Stagnation is definitely something that took up a large portion of his life after his father passed and he had to take on managing the shop. It took over a decade before someone came around and showed him a better life if he simply knew his worth was more than the self-imposed duty that bound him for so long. He isn't crippled by that stagnation anymore with Mat around but I do think there are bouts of similar indecisiveness in major chapters in his life where he battles putting himself into consideration at all when duty and responsibilities towards others are almost always put first.

17. Does your muse like being asked out, or do they prefer to do the asking?

Tomaj does prefer being asked out but like... tbf he has that hot guy swag problem where he doesn't really have rizz bc he's just kinda used to others approaching him first, you know? lmfao. It's a good thing Mat was persistent 😭

19. Would your muse prefer a spontaneous date night, or a planned night out?

Planned night out! In the earlier days when they would travel together he absolutely enjoyed the spontaneity Mat brought into his life. It was a breath of fresh air. It was needed. But Tomaj has always been a very meticulous man, especially when it came to his responsibilities and the structuring of his time so I think that's always the preference for him.

Especially as they grow older and have a family together.

Mat has his academic work that sometimes calls him away, Tomaj looks out for the shop, they share their efforts at home and even being part of a town council so anymore it's important to make that time for each other. Doesn't take away from the romance or anything to him either. They've built a very fulfilling life together and Tomaj is more than happy to set aside time so they can enjoy the fruits of their labor and, of course, each other. 🫶
