So on a random note, I'm not much of a "mobile" gamer as it is, but I've been trying out The Walking Dead: Road To Survival, and... tbh, the only nice thing I can say about the game is that the art style is decent, and it's given a face to characters who otherwise haven't been shown visually in other TWD media, like Josh Hamilton from the novel series.
That being said... holy crap, this game sucks. I try to play, and I can't do anything after maybe two minutes of gameplay, because I'm either out of supplies(and have to log out and wait for them to roll in) or I've hit the wall on supply storage and need to upgrade my buildings/town hall... which I also can't do because of reasons. So I try to do storyline missions, and woops, all the rewards from these missions are also wasted, due to the issues listed above; I need more material storage and I need more houses to hold survivors, but I can't get either of those things because NEED SUPPLIES/UPGRADE FIRST.
Supposedly, this is just what "AAA" mobile games are like, you have to “pay to win” and whatnot, and if that's the case, I really don't know how they're making so much money, or why people play them. Imagine the developers out there who create amazing portable games like Monster Hunter, only to lose out to garbage like this, solely because it's "free." It's depressing to think about. :\
I can't help but imagine that whatever IRS bean counter gets my tax return is gonna open it up and be like, "Holy shit someone under 50 didn't file electronically!"
Also the IRS gets one of my leftover Christmas stamps because fuck it.
Okay guys but really. With all the talk of supernatural what I really hate (other than the queer baiting, and lack of minorities in the show) is I miss being scared. Like I remeber watching it for the first time and loving the in depth lore of the show. I miss that Sam and Dean had trouble dealing with spirits and vamps and having to figure the case out as they went. Like having Sam or Dean take on a werewolf and really be worried about them. I mean now that they've taken on Lucifer and leviathan and angels it sort of makes them indestructible. And I fell in love with a show about two brothers fighting off evil in little towns and calling Bobby for back up. And I understand that through the years they would have grown as hunters but like it feels like they just jumped the shark. I love the characters I love the actors and I'll probably catch up with all the seasons eventually for nostalgia but the magic is just kinda gone for me. I will say this though. I would watch the shit out of an episode from the pov of other hunters or monsters and rumors surrounding the winchesters. Like how cool would that be?
