"the survivor" famously not what he did actually
[Image Description: A panel from the preview of DC K.O: Knightfall of Jason Todd defeating Professor Pyg. The box text in Bruce Wayne's voice reads "The Rebel. The survivor. I worry about Jason's penchant for violence, but then sometimes I envy him. He embraced his anger in a way a never could." There is also a speech bubble is attached to Jason that says "When are you going to learn, Pyg? You're lucky we don't throw you in a pit and leave you for dead."]
I'M COOKIIIIIIIINNNGG
If I had a nickel for every time a fictive chose a new/additional name and it was just the name of a character that's them in a different font, I'd have two nickels. Which is weird but I'm going to genuinely start suggesting it to everyone
On a totally unrelated note (/sar, silly) Chargebolt picked the name Michaelangelo. How hx thinks hx'll be able to consistently spell that correctly is a wonder to us all, but whatever
PERSONALLY I love my name thank you very much. And I'll lowkey just be using nicknames......BUT THAT'S TOTALLY OKAY GUYS
The group chat is crazy
being a little sucks Actually
Every time I'm with my grandpa he lectures me on how I need to start seeing the "real world" and that I'm immature and how sad it is that I don't have any friends. He constantly remarks on how sad my life is as if I don't already know. I have no choice to be around him because I can't drive yet and need rides to and from school and there's no-one else who can do it. I'm really sick of being spoken to this way but if I ask him to stop he'll say I think i'm a victim and the world is against me -CB
Hi love, I'm so sorry for the late response! We are really short on admins at the moment and we are behind on messages. How have you been since you sent this message in?
I'm sorry that your grandfather treats you this way. You don't deserve this at all. Your grandfather sounds like a really negative person. It sounds like he's unhappy with himself and his own life, so instead he focuses on nitpicking your life.
Is there any public transportation that you can take to and from school? Could you ride your bike when the weather is nice (exercise + getting you away from your grandfather!). Or what about asking some people at school? Even if you aren't friends with them, they may still be willing to give you a ride, especially if it's on their way or if you live near them. What about any neighbors?
I really think you should confront him. You might be surprised by how he reacts! It might seem obvious, but he might not realize how much this is hurting you and upsetting you. People can often be oblivious to the feelings of others, especially when they are stuck in their own little world. And if you directly tell him how it's making you feel, that might get him to stop. You have nothing to lose: either you confront him and he stops treating you this way, or you confront him and he continues saying the same things.
Is there anyone in your family that you can talk to about this? That might help you feel a lot better, to have someone on your side that also knows your grandfather. Maybe they could talk to your grandfather for you and ask him to back off, or maybe you could have them there when you confront him yourself for moral support.
Also, I want you to know that it’s okay to not have any friends, if that’s what makes you happiest. Some people prefer to be alone, and that’s 100% okay. But if you do want friends, and you just haven’t seem to have made any yet, there’s nothing wrong with you. You just haven’t met the right people yet. Even if you have nobody in your life right now, that could change in a heartbeat. It could change next week, next month, or next year. Heck, it could even change tomorrow! You have no idea who you will meet in the future. Someone you meet randomly may end up becoming your best friend or even your significant other! Life is constantly changing, love, and you have no idea what (or who!) is right around the corner waiting for you!
Please keep me updated!
