so the deal with Labyrinth Divers is that it's regular Earth but there's some House of Leaves/Yume Nikki/Omori/Puella Magi Madoka Magica/Deltarune bullshit going on. there's a sort of aether that's eternally shifting in response to human emotion/imagination/memory. usually the things it forms are invisible. however, if someone consistently has a particular mental state a lot in an area, or many people consistently have similar enough mental states in an area, it can solidify and form entities (demons)/locations (labyrinths). usually these are still unable to be perceived, except for Sometimes It Isn't, especially if a demon or labyrinth is related to you. they can cause a lot of harm, especially labyrinths, which form rifts in normal reality, bending space and time.
so in comes labyrinth divers, people who are aware of the existence of demons and labyrinths, many of whom are blessed/cursed with the ability to always perceive them, and go into labyrinths to destroy them! most labyrinth divers are affiliated with branches of an international organization that is very good at tracking down rogue divers and getting them to join. sometimes it's willing, sometimes it's coercion.
our main cast is a rogue group of 5 who are led by a girl who has the blessing/curse of perception and her girlfriend who despises authority.
