today's crackpot theory: book afterglow is real and I am a victim of it
#I made up the term but basically I finish a book and I'm riding the high of READING AGAIN YAYYY and its hitting me in the dopamine or-#-whatever#and I liked parts of it a lot so I'm thinking and dwelling on them#and its like wow what a great book I was so invested and I'm so glad I read it and (pseudo-poignant rabbling ensues)#then later I come to realize its flaws and the glow dies down and I'm like 'it was pretty okay!' and I get embarrassed that I was-#-singing praises to the rooftops about it before#and loudly too#and then it's like#ahhhhhhhhhh it was the Just Read A Book brain chemicals making me high as a kite about it#musings
