i think technoblade taking the egg not to seriously was a mix of him being the one streaming, and him being in character. because we know he can take the egg seriously, cc!techno knows the egg is a threat, he played the main person controlled by the egg in that tftsmp.

c!techno has everything he desires, and he clearly doesn’t view anything as an active threat till it threatens him/something he cares about (like the butcher army to carl). it makes sense he wouldn’t take the egg that seriously, all he’s seen of the egg is bbh, who isnt that intimidating from a combat standpoint, the vines, which he sees just as weeds, and the egg talking, which to him was just another voice in his head saying nonsense.

as for him being the one streaming, he does have a reputation of being the untouchable blood god to his fans, and it makes sense he might be hesitant to show himself loosing in a sense to a fanbase that demands he always wins.

but with how much techno hated his speeches being talked over and ignored, i do think he should be a bit more considerate of bbh’s egg plot being taken more as a joke, because as one of the bigger streamers on the dsmp, he really influences how the fans view certain plotlines because he’s one of the main perspectives people see from.
