isn't it kind of beautiful that, even though it never happened in the film, nor was it written in the script, there's probably thousands of alternate versions of the bee sting scene where mulder and scully actually do kiss. Like, most fan content tends to vary drastically, as any and every creative work does, but in this case, thousands of people decided to depict almost the exact same scene. Whether it's David and Gillian making out on set for fun(?!), fanfiction authors writing fix-it fics, or artists wanting to create their own version of the hypothetical scene. So many of us watched that scene and wanted to see the exact same thing happen and so we made it happen. and I think that's really cool
