I randomly found this out on the IMDb trivia for the IT Miniseries; did you know that small parts of the original broadcasting is missing from a lot of later releases?

When the Miniseries VHS and Laserdisc came out it was the same as the broadcast version, but the DVD (and Blu-ray) edited some stuff out of the ending of Pt1 and the beginning of Pt2 so it would flow better, like a very long movie. The Pt1 ending edit isn't too crazy, but the Pt2 beginning cut out the first 2ish minutes!

This fact smacked the shit out of my gob, so of course I went archive diving to find it. Finding Pt1 was pretty easy to find; I had to do way more digging for Pt2, and VOILÀ! I made a quick edit to have both parts together!

Pt1 Ending: -Edit: When Patty sees Stan; her scream gets cut off -OG: Patty screams more than one time, and we end on "IT" written on the bathroom wall with Pennywise laughing and "to be continued"

Pt2 Beginning: -Edit: Starts with Bill being dropped off at the cemetery by taxi -OG: Starts with Bill, in a taxi, on his way to the inn to check in, stays on a shot of an underground tunnel(?) where you can hear Pennywise(?) growling, Bill has a short convo with the lady at the front desk, then a quick scene in his hotel room, and finally we see the full ride (plus convo) in a taxi to the cemetery. (First, what do you mean some works at the inn??! And secondly, I would have lost my shit (in the best of ways) if the taxi driver said, "Pardon my French if you're a religious man."!)

(Also, thumbnail because seriously, WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?! I HAVE QUESTION, MINISERIES! QUESTIONS!)
