I tried a great many things.

I burned through countless timelines of my own world, hoping to break through to yours.

I thought my infinite splendor would surely enrapture your kind.

But it didn't.

So I took a mortal form, and tried to learn how you people function.

And I found only sorrow.

I stole away into other worlds, countless times, searching for that which gave you all the most fleeting glimpses of excitement.

I stole a great many things, hoping to find the right one.

Or perhaps the right combination.

The right equation that would accomplish that which I've yearned for longer than your gods could hope to remember.

But it's been so long.

And I've been through so much in this form.

forgotten.

I've forgotten what excitement feels like.

The Bringer of "Ruin".

The All That Is One.

Have been laid low by your trifling mortal worries.

How sad is that?

That your fleeting, temporary lives are filled with so much suffering and misery...

...that the One that once held All existence in its hands has been incapacitated by it?

Your silly little "stories" and "games" talk so often of defeating great evils with love and hope alone.

Yet here I lay.

Destroyed by despair.
