Im looking for signet fashion insp 😳 what do you suggest I look for?
HEADDRESS:
These are the two things that Janine specifically cites as references, Miss Universe Vietnam 2015′s swan crown and the Russian Kokoshnik. Kokoshniks are traditionally shorter and made of cloth, but I think Janine’s talking more about the later royal crowns.
A lot of fanartists draw ...Signet... with her hair down, but we know that she does sometimes (if not always) wear her hair up, in a high ponytail or French twist or something more elaborate.
CAPE/COAT:
This is something that Janine came up with that is common on Thyrsus. They’re very straight, not very tailored coats, but they are heavily embellished. They can be capes, or they can be coats with big sleeves. They’re usually made of heavier fabric. We’ve seen …Signet… wearing one on at least one occasion.
GOWNS:
…Signet… usually wears long dresses, not pants or shorter skirts. She does wear tights under them sometimes. She doesn’t like being told to wear anything “more practical.”
I imagine that, like with the capes, the dresses are pretty heavily embellished/embroidered.
I usually think of her color scheme as blue with gold or white accents. It could be that we’ve seen her wearing other colors and I just don’t remember it.
PILOT OUTFIT:
Halfway between a standard flight suit and a dancer’s leotard. Much more streamlined, much less fabric than her normal look.
Also remember her thing with butterflies and more broadly with bugs. She carries around a sacred tome in the shape of a beetle in her sleeve, so I think if you want to lean into bug-inspired fashion, you’re allowed.
Her doctor’s outfit also involves her being lit up in light, so if you want to incorporate that, you can.
