Do you have any tips on how to pick the right working dog? (GSD, dutch shepherd, malinois) I'm leaning towards a dutch shepherd because I don't like how some German Shepherds look but I want one that would fit for me first and foremost.

Well it depends on who you are and what you want. I’d recommend meeting some of these breeds in person first because there are many more differences between them than just appearance. Malinois and Dutch Shepherds have much more drive and energy than the German Shepherd. I’d only recommend getting one if you weren’t looking for a pet, but a dog to work with and/or participate in sports. Just watching videos of Mal puppies doing bite work overwhelms me.
