[The full drawing is of a white girl with long brown hair chained to the ground by a single ankle, as she wears a loose dress shirt, a collar, cuffs on each wrist and ankle and stares forward with terrified, violet eyes as a string of light in the image implies a door is being opened in front of her.
The timelapse starts with many face sketches, iterations for the girl's face. Face shape, eyeshape, hairstyle and the presence or absence of strabismus change in each. Every iteration is followed by a few notes of what should and shouldn't be changed in the next, and the last one shows the girl with the chosen face shape, her brown hair tied down and her eyes, golden and with strabismus. This one is the only colored, with loose, flat colors and simple cell shading.
After that—and after a brief appearence of a silly sketch of a smilling face, out of place and quickly erased—all the sketches vanish and the process of the actual drawing starts. The pose, kneeling down, is sketched, and the background is swiftly tinted a muted light brown, the streak of light being painted over as well. The second, more defined sketch is drawn, starting from the head and going down, defining her body. The proper lineart comes with refining the eyes first and drawing over hair, clothes and the other elements. During this, the colors are turned off briefly.
After the lineart is fused with the body sketch below, the colors are turned on and refined. The skin is colored with a pale color, and so are the clothes, hair and ground. The next thing to be refined is the streak of light, and from then on the process resumes to adjusting light and darkness areas, playing with blending modes with the light from the door and drawing the chains and cuffs, as well as painting some hard shadows.
A bit of shading is added to the room to draw the line between floor and walls, a signature is doodled before vanishing. The timelapse ends.]
