Poliwag and Poliwhirl follow Politoed around, as the Politoed act as their leaders and are known to lead by making the Poliwag and Poliwhirl fear them.
At nightfall on moonlit nights, Politoed gather together on the shores of lakes and make bellowing sounds, announcing their territorial claims to other Politoed.
The curled hair on Politoed's head is proof of their stature as king over Poliwag and Poliwhirl, and the longer and more curled the hair is the more Poliwag and Poliwhirl that will follow them.
Although Politoed bellows sound like screams, a composer once created a beautiful ballad influenced by Politoed bellows.
You can easily tell a male and female Politoed apart as the male Politoed's bellows are much louder than the female's.
