So, was the only reason Ken was able to become Ken again, when they defeated him as the Digimon Emperor in Digimon Adventure 02, was because Daisuke had, or used, the Digimental, or Digi Egg, of Miracles? The fact that Ken was able to become good again was a miracle?

Hmm good question. I’ve said this before, but I’m not great on Digimon lore, so my opinion here might not be based in any Digimon fact. In my opinion, it was probably a mixture of Daisuke using the Digimental, Wormmon’s sacrifice, and maybe Ken’s crest?? But the Digital World also performs miracles on its own, doesn’t it? Or grants wishes to some degree? As a fan of Daisuke, I want to say he was the biggest help here. But it's hard to say!

All of Digimon’s lore is weird and needlessly vague (love it though) but 02 especially is. Intriguing. In case you haven’t heard Ken’s backstory is tied up heavily in the Japanese Wonderswan games… and at least in my opinion, there’s a whole unseen enemy pulling the strings in 02 (Milleniumon) but he fails at the end of the Kaiser arc. Long story short, the point of infecting Ken with the dark seed was probably to get him to recreate Chimeramon so Milleniumon could be revived, but of course Oikawa/BelialVamdemon/02’s 20 other onscreen baddies also found a way to make its effects useful. Of course none of this is ever explained or even explicitly referenced in the actual series but it’s A Thing.

I am very much unaware of content outside of the main series. The vagueness of Digimon can be a challenge for someone like me who wants to write fanfic but doesn't have a grasp on everything. So I'm glad to have people telling me about this stuff, whether it be fact, unseen lore, or opinion.

I don’t have any content to celebrate 02 day. But I feel like it’s important for my followers to know that it’s my favorite season of Digimon. I bought Davis/Daisuke’s D3 when I was 12 and I have a planned D3 tattoo in the works this year. Something about that season and characters gripped me and made me feel like I belonged
