Day 785: quick scribble when I was bone tired

第一次來充滿書香氣息的溫州街，和永康街有點像卻有不一樣的感覺🚶又是間充滿菸味的咖啡店🚬其中一隻店貓很親人，心已融化☺️店裡氣氛和鴉埠很像，客人不多不少，店員一派輕鬆地一邊泡咖啡，一邊和來訪的朋友聊天。現在咖啡店店員怎麼都這麼文青🤔有點距離感⋯咖啡挺平價但我覺得味道普通，網路蠻順💻

The Shins had a pretty lackluster come back album a few years ago on Port of Morrow. If this song is any indicator of what is to come on the new record, I’m excited. More indie folk, less pop please!

On this warm && sunny SoCal morning, I still carry the remnants of the dark, gloomy rainclouds that have just left us. The bluish hues painted across the sky reminded me of my favorite blues singer: Billie Holiday.

This piece that I share with you is my absolute favorite. With her unique voice, she beings this song to life. You can feel her despair && fear as she keeps asking for her love’s whereabouts. Hope you like it.

Fun fact: It has been documented that one night while Billie was using hot tongs to style her hair, she unfortunately burned some of it off. In an effort to ameliorate the situation, someone sent for flowers. The individual returned with a bouquet of gardenias, && it was a single gardenia that was used to cover the mishap. Henceforth, Billie wore gardenias in her hair.

I'm thoroughly uncomfortable. It doesn't hurt to breathe, but it's uncomfortable. I feel weird being awake. I feel weird being alive. I feel like I'm not supposed to be here. I'm just uncomfortable.

Yesterday, I saw something I guess I shouldn’t. Pero I think okay na rin na nakita ko yun. At least I really have a reason not to look back anymore.
