Digimon Adventure 02 Appreciation Challenge - Day 1 'What do you like the most about your favorite 02 team child?' I can’t answer this question properly but, I will say that I love these 4 the most? These kids have a very funny relationship to me, and I love how they blend so well? I love how Miyako and Daisuke can be such a disaster when mixed together while Ken and Iori are usually the quiet ones? But they never have any issue when the others make so much noise. I feel like they actually truly enjoy each other’s company. I love their dynamic!  LOVE THESE KIDS.

"What does the concept of Jogress evolution mean to you?"

Had a busy week and got thrown off with this challenge, but I'll try to finish anyways! I know it's serious and deep and meaningful, but Jogress evolution, to me, means...that someone is gonna get hit. Except Iori because he knows better.

Hello everyone!

Kizuna will be releasing formally to Western territories in a month, and in lead-up commemoration to keep us all entertained in the meantime, @takerusfedora, @digitalgate02, @demonoflight, and I have put together The Digimon Adventure 02 Appreciation Challenge!

This is a casual little event meant to promote positivity and love for 02 as a series, especially in preparation for the characters' return in Kizuna! The event will run on the schedule of September 15 through 29, right in time for Kizuna's release!

Please feel free to take your own time on it spread the love even after the movie releases here, of course.

In addition, be sure to keep to the following guidelines:

This is meant as a positivity challenge, so please refrain from dropping negativity or shade

The prompts are flexible, so please feel free to interpret them as you please

Any "type" of submission is welcome -- art, posts, meta, tweets, short answers, etc.

Digimon Adventure 02 Appreciation Challenge - Day 7

Day 7:  A scene with any of the 02 team and the older kids that you like

Koushirou waiting for his dumb kouhai in the darkened computer room like a disappointed parent in episode 7 is something I keep thinking back on. The relationship between Koushirou and all the 02 kids is easily one of my favorite aspects of 02.

Koushirou is basically the Japanese Chosen’s Mission Control, and as such, he is the closest to the 02 team and appears much more often than the other older Chosen. He visits the computer lab at Odaiba Elementary often, holds important meetings with the younger kids in his own room (with refreshments!), monitors activity, answers questions, and is generally incredibly helpful and resourceful.

And on their part, the 02 kids are wonderful juniors, and they adore their beloved Koushirou-senpai. They’re always thrilled to see him and interested in his input. They trust him with so much - he’s part of the camping trip decoy team when they decide to find the Kaiser’s base, and Miyako feels at absolute ease leaving Poromon with him while she’s on her school trip to Kyoto. Actually, special mention goes to Miyako, who got to know him the previous year as the president of Odaiba Elementary’s computer club, and has immense respect for him. Another special mention goes to Ken, who is outside of the Odaiba kids’ sphere but also grows to trust Koushirou, to the point where Koushirou is actually the first person to visit Ken’s room in Tamachi!

And of course, in that scene in episode 7, when Koushirou chews the 02 kids out for getting caught up in the Digital World after hours, they feel properly terrible because they know senpai is absolutely right.

I have nothing more to say except Koushirou is the best Team Dad and the 02 kids know that.

It’s been about 10 years since I watched Digimon Adventure 02, so I wasn’t planning on taking part in the 02 Appreciation Challenge. I remember very little. And while I’m still not planning on taking part in the rest, day 1 is about your favourite 02 kid, and I have seen nothing about Iori yet. Which makes me sad.

Look at that boy. He’s a good boy. I wish I could remember more about why I liked him to give him the proper appreciation he deserves. 

To be as vague as possible to not say something very wrong, but I like how much he stands out when compared to the rest of the ‘youngest kids’ in Digimon. He’s not what you’d consider pure/innocent, not a crybaby, doesn’t have wild youthful energy (cough Astra cough). He’s a quiet serious boy. He shows his youth more in how black and white he views the world, which was a big part of his development. From what I can remember. 

You know, he goes from having the hardest time with the whole Ken situation, to trying to help Oikawa enter the Digital World. Development! Or something!

I dunno, I just wanted to say that I like Iori.

Not in movie format (Hurricane Touchdown), but in OVA with several episodes, especially regarding his backstory about Chocomon and Gummymon.
