4th November, 2015 Spinner’s End

“Remember, remember the fifth of November, gunpowder, treason and plot. I see no reason, why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.” The words were spoken in a quiet whisper as Marlene looked out of the kitchen window, absentmindedly stirring the tea on the counter in front of her. Packing up the rest of Severus’ things wasn’t meant to have taken them all day but the sun had already set and there were still boxes to be pack up and put in the back of the car. And of course, there was still the obligatory discussion of how lame his car was and how she wouldn’t be seen dead in it. That, and the concession that she would ride in the car, as long as she controlled the music. She smiled slightly, the prospect of that and her favourite holiday coming up giving her more than enough reason to be happy. All in all, her life was happy.
Marlene carried the tea through to the living room where she knew she would find Severus, most likely sitting on the floor and most likely surrounded by books. She put the tea down on the coffee table, walking over to one of the bookshelves and frowning at the titles. Her attempt to read most of the books they took off the walls hadn’t helped speed up the progress of packing. Neither had the impromptu lost half an hour of kissing, but really she couldn’t find a reason to rush.
“You know, I really don’t understand why you’d want to move out. I mean I know you’re not in London and, more importantly, this house doesn’t come with me but it is a house. And I can’t ever imagine moving too far away from my childhood home.”
