I was waken up by Jourdan telling me he's alreay going. It was fucking 3 in the morning but I got up anyway. I didn't take a shower anymore and just fixed myself a bit. Soon enough, the van arrived and we already had to go to the airport to send Jourdan and Ante off. Since I was already rushing, I just brought my new shoes into the car and wore them in thhe middle of the ride. Basically, I felt the silence and sadness on our way especially because Jourdan fell asleep and Ante lost her happy vibe. They would both surely miss the Philippines. When we got to the airport, we fell in line but didn't know if non-passengers were allowed to enter the airport with them so we asked where could we enter. We went to that gate after we left them inside and told them to wait for us. However, unlike the system before, non-passengers weren't allowed to gk inside anymore. So it was massively gloomy because we thought we wouldn't see them anymore before they actually took off. But since patience is a virtue, we waited for them because we hoped they would pay at the tax station which was near us. Ultimately, they did and we saw immediately. Jourdan came up to us but went back to his mom immediately so we waited for Ante to finish paying and then said our goodbyes. It was a not-so-heartfelt one because I didn't wanna see Jourdan sad. The last thing he asked me was why my pinkies are bent. Anyway, Mom was the emotional one she is then we got out of the airport. We walked and walked til we found a jeep that would take us to Baclaran. When we got to Baclaran, we first got inside the church for the safety of Ante and Jourdan's flight. Then we went out to look for breakfast. I saw Jollibee and all but I badly wanted Dunkin Donuts so we looked for it eveywhere but we couldn't find one so we went back to look for a Jollibee or something and I suggested KFC which I saw earlier. So KFC it was. We ordered and then went upstairs to look for seats. We waited for quite some time before our food arrived. We called pur relatives first to tell them Ante and Jourdan were off already. We also watched the snaps I took of Jourdan whih were absolutely adorable. The breakfast food of KFC was great and I was so full. I loved their hashbrown too. Anyway, we went out to look for a jeep to ride to take us to Sucat this time. We found one and I knew it's gonna be a long long ride and I was so so sleepy so I immediately fell asleep on Mom's shoulder. When I woke up, we were not even almost there but when we got there, we looked for a jeep going to Alabang. We waited for one and went off eventually. It didn’t take long before we got to Alabang and then we just walked our way to Festival. Since it was just like 9 in the morning, the mall wasn't open yet so we waited at the terminal of vans. It was quite of a long wait but we were patient enough until it opened. We went inside through a different door because too much people were waiting at the first door we almost went in. The first thing we did was check out to buy tickets but then there wasn't people yet so we had to go around first. We looked for microwave and then bought stuff at the Japanese store and then I went back to the cinemas to buy tickets and as I am lucky, there was a person already and I was able to buy our tickets. Then we bought some stuff again before mama bought turon to bring inside the movies. After that, we went to the fourth floor and bought popcorn first before we entered. It was really fun because almost no people were wathing the movies and I reserved us some good seats. We were the only oneswhos tood up for thenational anthem and Just The 3 Of Us started. It was a really good movie but I just lacked somethign maybe the presence of people I don't know but I really loved the movie. Before we went home, we bought Dunkin Donuts first because I was badly craving for donuts. Anyway, the ride home was smooth and I also fell asleep. When we got home, I just basically chilled and ate suman latik given by Tita Ana because it was her birthday. We didn't have heavy dinner anymore because we were so full. So it was just all that until we went to bed and missed Jourdan so bad. But I was so exhausted that I fell asleep eventually.

Today is the ‪#‎SayHerName‬ National Day of Action!

On this day, we are standing in solidarity with all Black women (cis and trans), girls, and femmes in efforts to shed light on the abuse that they endure under systems of anti-Black misogyny.

#SayHerName - Celebration, Conversation & Commemoration

Thursday May 19th is the #SayHerName national day of action, a day to center the experiences of Black women, girls and femmes who have been killed by state violence or those who have exprienced it and survived. Murders like that of Sandra Bland in Texas, instances of non lethal police violence like the multiple shots fired at Tyshara Blouin here in New Orleans by JPSO, and the continued silence around state violence and Black women face have led to a call for this day of action for the 2nd year in a row. This year, join us in Congo Square in celebration, conversation, and commemoration for in and support of Black women, girls, and femmes. We'll be opening space for speakers, singing and chants, altar creation, and lifting up the voices & prismatic experiences of Black femmes, women, and girls who are or have been incarcerated; who are mothers, parents, adult supporters, caretakers; who are in lesbian, gay, queer, bisexual, asexual, and/or pansexual communities; who are transgender, genderfluid, gender non-conforming, and/or agender; who are poor; who are undocumented; who have disabilities of any & all kind; who are adults, youth, or elders; who are ancestors and who are community leaders; and so much more. Black women, girls, and femmes: take space; allies: make space. Nationally, folks will be engaging in actions, celebrations, healing spaces, and more that center the lives, experiences, and legacies of our Black girls, femmes, and women.
