joejaniak: From a song I wrote going miraculously to #1 on global iTunes, to the Superbowl on Sunday. It's been a good weekend. The song that climbed the charts with Louis Tomlinson was near the end of on an album. I spent countless hours engineering the drums, fine tuning the bass. Throwing up as many microphones as I could try. Shipped in gear from all over town. I didn't even know how many people would eventually hear it. At some points I'd wondered, maybe I'd gone too far? I don't know, watching the Superbowl it made me think, win or lose, it doesn't matter if your heart's in it. The obsession will lead you all the way down the rabbit hole either way. There's no stopping that. And hopefully after all that digging you'll end up on the bright side of the hill when you resurface with a story you're proud of. If not, you would've done it anyway - and therein I guess, lies true love.
