BTS ARMYs, we did it! 😱😭💜

It's still unofficial until YouTube releases the exact figures... but BTS 'Dynamite' MV has logged 98,291,053 views in its first 24 hours of release, a whopping 12 million views more than the previous record of 86.3 million set two months ago by Black Pink's 'How You Like That's (which in turn had topped the previous record of 76.4 million views set by BTS 'Boy with Luv' back in April of 2019.

Upon its release on Aug. 21 (1PM Korean Standard Time), 'Dynamite' had already set a new record for the highest number of YouTube viewers for a video premiere, drawing more than 3 million concurrent live viewers when it dropped and had topped more than 4 million views just after the debut (although the official count for this, too, still has to be released by the internet video platform).

[UPDATE] YouTube has confirmed on Aug. 23, 2020 that Dynamite did in fact log 101.1 million views on its first 24 hours of release, which is about 3M more than the figures that we had expected. 😱👏👏👏
